Explain the services and location

Prepare your questions before spending on a fit-out
Give the council the proposed method, products or devices and premises details. Ask which standards, approvals and evidence apply. For any device-based service, obtain advice specific to that device and use; do not use a general tattoo-training certificate as a substitute.
Request the current application process, fees, inspection arrangements and any renewal requirements in writing. Keep the council response with your business records and check again if you move premises or add a service.
Use local rules, not a nationwide checklist
