Skinart Tattoo Training – Terms and Conditions

By accessing and using the services of Skinart Tattoo Training (“Skinart”), and by enrolling or booking in one of our courses, you (“You” or “Participant”) agree to comply with and be legally bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms”).

  1. Booking Fee: All monies paid, whether in part or in full, for the booking of any course are non-refundable. The entirety of the course fee must be settled prior to the commencement of the course. Access to training and equipment is strictly limited to those that are detailed in the invoice provided to the Participant.
  2. Course Rescheduling: If a published or arranged course fails to meet a minimum quota of more than 2 students, Skinart reserves the right to reschedule said course.
  3. Online Courses: The duration of online courses is finite. Participants have a limited time to conclude the course. Failure to complete the course before the expiration date will result in forfeiture of course completion and the associated certificate. In select circumstances, course extensions may be available with an additional fee of $500.
  4. In-Person Courses: All published in-person course prices are for students attending the in-person module in Cambridge Waikato. Students requesting / attending a course in other locations will be subject to additional charges for Travel and accomodation.
  5. Kits and Equipment:
    • If equipment is provided as a part of the course, the specifics may vary based on current stock.
    • Delays in equipment delivery might occur if a student does not pay a course deposit at least 30 days before the course start date.
    • Equipment provided by Skinart comes “as is” with no warranties or guarantees, as items are supplementary and not for sale.
  6. Certifications: Participants will receive a certificate of course attendance. No formal qualification is insinuated or provided. The training dispensed leverages life skills amassed from extensive experience.
  7. Course Training and Staff: Courses are facilitated by a diverse team. The master tattooist’s presence is limited to 3-4 days of the course duration, with the remaining training overseen by resident tattoo artists or body piercers.
  8. Media Rights: Any photographs or videos captured during training sessions are the sole property of Skinart. By enrolling, Participants grant unrestricted rights to Skinart to utilize these media for marketing, training, and other broadcasting purposes.
  9. Liability Release: Any individual undergoing training, acting as a model, or receiving tattoos or body piercings from Skinart, a student, or an employee does so at their own risk. Such individuals hereby release and indemnify Skinart, its students, and employees from any liabilities.
  10. Past Liabilities: Skinart Training New Zealand experienced an ownership transition in May 2020. Current proprietors are not liable for any incidents that transpired prior to this date.
  11. Jurisdiction: This website is governed by Skinart South Africa and is subject to the jurisdiction of South African law.
  12. Agreement: Making a payment for any of our courses signifies agreement to these Terms.

Skinart reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms at any given time without notice. Participants are encouraged to review the Terms periodically.
